Standard First Aid & CPR

This course provides comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies in the home or workplace. A variety of topics are covered from basic first aid such as cardiovascular and breathing emergencies, CPR, prevention of disease transmission to more severe sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.


Emergency First Aid & CPR

This course provides simple First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment, for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the home or workplace. The course covers skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, CPR, and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.


CPR/AED

This course is designed to provide various levels of CPR training based on participant’s background, needs and interest. A presentation on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (and certification) is also provided with the course where local legislation permits. Levels A, C and HCP available depending on the skills needed.


First Responder

Includes the latest First Aid & CPR Guidelines and meets Federal regulations and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Advanced First Aid.

This course is designed to teach First Responders advanced first aid techniques: how to sustain life, prevent further injuries, and the consequences of further injury until more advanced medical personnel arrive.


Emergency Medical Responder

Includes the latest First Aid & CPR Guidelines. Meets the Paramedic Association of Canada National Occupational Competency Profiles for the practitioner level of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).

Provides the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until the next level of health care takes over.


Oxygen Administration

The course covers how to operate oxygen devices and handle breathing devices. Participants also learn how to respond and treat respiratory emergencies.


Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED

includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines and meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid.

This course provides an overview of First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment for individuals who care for infants or children in the workplace or at home. Covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.


Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED

Iincludes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines and meets OHS regulations for Standard First Aid.

Comprehensive First Aid & CPR training for individuals who need training for child care or early childhood education work, or who simply want more knowledge to respond to babies’ and children’s injuries and emergencies at home. The course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.


Wilderness & Remote First Aid

Our basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid & CPR is for individuals who recreate or live in isolated or wilderness settings and need to respond to emergencies when advanced care is not immediately available.

The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas as well as offers strategies to provide extended care for up to 24 hours.


Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid

Comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for individuals who are interested in taking longer excursions or live in isolated communities and want a higher level of training.

The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus advanced procedures and strategies to provide extended care for more than 24 hours.


Marine Basic First Aid

Includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Meets Transport Canada Training Program Standards in Marine First Aid (TP 13008E).

This course provides an overview of First Aid and CPR techniques with scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry. The course covers the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for all age groups; CPR Level C; and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies, as well as prevention of disease transmission.


Marine Advanced First Aid

Course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008.
Comprehensive first aid and CPR techniques and scenarios for those who need a higher level of training to work and respond to emergencies in a marine setting.

Designed for any person who wants to obtain a rating certificate, endorsement, or a Master or Officer Certification, and for those providing first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-coastal voyage, class 1, or on board a vessel on unlimited waters.
